Meet our Panelists
Dr. Broome
Dr. Broome is Assistant Professor of Medicine and Director of the Communication Skills Program for the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Her interest is in the neuroscience of communication, specifically physician patient communication. She is a Diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine, a Fellow in the American College of Physicians, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Communication in Healthcare. Dr. Broome is an alumnus of the University of Miami School of Medicine.
Dr. Fletcher
Dr. Fletcher is an obstetrician and gynecologist, who currently practices and enjoys both OB and GYN. She joined the UM faculty in 2020 as an Assistant Professor. She completed med school and training here at the U and is very happy to be back after leaving for a few years. She is the Director for Patient Safety and Quality for the department and is also involved in the medical school as a Longitudinal Clinical Educator and Unit Builder for NextGenMD.
Dr. Saxena
Dr. Saxena graduated from the University of Arkansas For Medical Sciences College of Medicine in 2014. She works here in Miami, FL where she specializes in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. A couple of her other involvements include working with the Human Rights Clinic and establishing a medical home for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
